John W. Whiteside, III is a senior investigator at CFR. Prior to joining CFR, Mr. Whiteside was a Supervisory Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation from which he retired after 30 years of service. Mr. Whiteside has been responsible for investigating and supervising investigations concerning intelligence matters, security counter measures, economic espionage and organized crime matters. Mr. Whiteside was the lead agent in the only successful investigation and prosecution of an espionage case in the Philadelphia area. Mr. Whiteside has been requested to give talks on espionage investigations at the FBI Academy, other law enforcement organizations and corporate security departments. Mr. Whiteside has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Temple University and has served as the President of the Temple University Alumni Association of Washington, D.C. Mr. Whiteside is a member of many professional organizations.
